Check the identity and authority of the counterparty, inspect the property or arrange an independent inspection, and verify relevant ownership and transaction documents with a qualified professional. Confirm the recipient and bank details through an independently verified contact.

Treat pressure to pay immediately, unexplained changes of bank account, unusually favourable terms and refusal to provide verifiable information as reasons to stop and check. Never share sign-in codes or passwords. A Fern verification label does not replace your transaction checks.

Send the listing URL, a concise description, the date, your relationship to the issue and a reply contact to the support address below. For an intellectual-property complaint, identify the material, the rights claimed and your authority to act. Provide accurate information and only evidence needed for the report.

For an expired or duplicate listing, explain what is wrong and identify the affected listing. For disputed authority, avoid publishing personal documents; request a suitable private channel for evidence. Fern may need to seek a response from the relevant advertiser without disclosing unnecessary complainant information.

Change your password through the account recovery flow and contact support if you suspect unauthorised access. Company owners should review member access. Preserve relevant messages and timestamps; do not continue communicating with a suspicious account solely through the channel that may be compromised.

If money has already been transferred, promptly contact your payment provider and the appropriate authorities. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. A report to Fern does not replace an official report or guarantee that funds can be recovered.

A complaint may require verification and investigation. Its handling and outcome depend on the facts and applicable law, including any required response deadlines.
